HOSTELS
We have two hostels that provide safe and comfortable accommodation for learners.
The boys’ hostel can accommodate 180 learners. Each room has 4 beds and 4 cupboards. Learners make use of communal bathrooms.
The girls’ hostel can accommodate 87 learners. Each room has 3 beds and 3 cupboards. Learners make use of communal bathrooms.
The Hostel focuses on cultivating good discipline in the learners with their set routines. The learners do enjoy a healthy social life with various social activities throughout the year.
To ensure that learners are able to devote adequate time to their studies in the hostel, learners have access to study halls during examination.
Parents can be assured that learners are well looked after with two teachers doing duty every day and are available to learners 24/7. Our qualified school nurse resides on the premises and is available for emergencies.
Hostel life teaches students to respect and interact with others, especially people of different culture, religion and social stature. Moreover, it teaches students to be humble, tolerant, resilient and ready to accept others as they are.
HOSTEL POLICIES
As part of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for our learners, we have implemented a set of Hostel Policies. To learn more about our Hostel Policies, simply download the document.
HOSTEL TIMES
Learners residing at Gen Piet Joubert Hostel have the convenience of entering the Hostel on Sundays, specifically between 16h00 and 18h00. To ensure a smooth transition, please make the necessary transportation arrangements for Fridays at 13h00, when the school adjourns.
